My 2000 Explorer Sport 4.0 ohv 5-speed sounds like a diesel ...
it only does it at idle . in the past 4 months its got new parts like crazy ,,,
Flywheel , clutch , slave , trans , u-joints , driveshaft , timing chain , injectors , air filter , fuel filter , plugs {autolite irid} , wires , water pump , coil pack , rear diff , new brakes all around , and the best smelling tree i could find to hang around the rearview mirror ...
only light that comes on is the lovely ABS light {gives me something to read on long trips}
Ford says its the cats , i called the BS card on him couse my cats are GONE ... yes i live in one of those states where we cut them off to pay for gas lol ...
if it was a bearing it would get louder with RPM , but after idle it stops , i'm losing tons of power .
someone please help ...
