Another new old guy

I have a 2001 Explorer Sport. I have owned it since 2004. I love the little buggy for round town driving except it gets horrible fuel mileage, on the highway it does pretty good. It has 298,100 miles on it now and I'm going for 300,000. It needs some work and that's why I'm here on this forum. Questions and advise posts coming.

It had 17,300 when I bought it. It has been a really good vehicle. My wife drove it 150 miles a day to work and back, and all she did was put gas in it and go. It has never burned any oil, just leaks it! I drive it now to keep the miles off my pickup and it is so much easier to maneuver in parking lots.
