Figured I better drop a quick note since I'm new here. :)
I lurked around for a couple of weeks, then finally registered.
I'm a 31 year old auto body technician from Cottage Grove MN. I have a '92 Explorer XLT which I am just starting to mod.
I drove my X for about 2 1/2 years without hardly doing anything to it........ errrr besides a new motor and having the tranny rebuilt. lol But now I'm getting a little bored with it being stock and I'm looking forward to a little change.:D
Anyways, I'm glad to be here!

Welcome to the site Rick!

Yeah, it seems that the tranny is something everyone here has to reluctantly do eventually. The engine holds on a little better though. Glad to see your here.

So what are your future plans for your X?

Welcome again and happy postin'!:)

Yea, I knew the tranny would be going sometime as I knew the problems with them. But it kinda sucked that it blew on the way back from our honeymoon!
The first mods will be a 1 1/2" to 2" lift with 31x10.5s. And possibly some new rims (still looking)
Who knows from there. If I get the bug I might end up going all out:D
Thanks for the welcome!
Rick

Welcome

Rickcar,

Glad to have you aboard. No matter what you want to do to your X, chances are pretty good that somebody else has done that too, and will gladly share their experiences! Likewise, perhaps you'll be able to offer advice when folks post questions about body repair, paint, trim etc. Always good to have a Pro on the board to give the straight scoop!

Again, Welcome, we think you'll enjoy!

Hi Rick,
Welcome aboard and hope that you like the site as much as we do.

Thanks for the welcomes. :)
I'll always be glad to answer any questions anyone has regarding auto body or paint. Not saying I'll always have the right answers, but I'll help whenever I can!
Rick
