Anti freeze in engine vallet 4.0 v6 2006 Explorer.

Hi I thought the water neck housing was leaking so I took it off and discovered that there was a lot of anti freeze in the engine valley, all the way to the rear portion of the block. Any ideas on that?

Not sure if it's the same on the Explorer or not, but there is a line going to the heater core on my crown vic that starts out as a rubber line, then changes to a steel line, that runs through the "valley". When the hose portion of it started leaking it was dumping water in there. Good luck and hope that helps!
