anti theft light and won't turn over

hi new here hope I am in the right spot to post this, I am a long way from home working over seas and trying to help my son with a problem he is having with his 2004 ranger the truck won't turn over and the anti theft light is on battery is good, and he is using the original key, the truck is a 4banger auto XLT no power locks/windows Help

Sounds like the key needs to be re-programmed. If you do not have 2 working key's it going to be a stealership thing.

Just had it happen to me

It is usually a sign of a battery problem. Check that your battery is Fully Charged. Also that you don't have corrosion on the terminals.
Last if you replaced the terminals like i did Make sure the wire is tight under the head.
