Any issues with sync/MFT ?

I'm new to Ford and have owned imports and Pontiacs for the last 20 years. I really like the tech (Sync/MFT) and style Ford is putting out in their new autos. After reading some threads here and another Sync forum I'm beginning to have concerns about the wait time and more importantly the reliability of Sync/MFT. Problems seem to come from new Edge, Explorer and Lincoln owners that have screens blanking out, phones don't stay connected, clocks keep resetting and leaving their suv at the dealers for a week for fixes that the dealer isn't sure how to do. So naturally I'm on the fence about purchasing a new Explorer and staying with an import or GM.

Have many of you here have had problems, Sync/MFT or not? Was it quickly fixed? Does the problem keep coming back?

I've had the clock problem three times in the week I've had mine, but none in the last 4 days. I reset the clock twice, and the third time, I noticed it was wrong when I shifted into reverse, and by the time I made it to the end of the driveway and put the X in drive, it fixed itself. The only other Sync problem I had, was my phone didn't connect on the 2nd day I had the X, so I turned off the Bluetooth on my phone, turned it back on, and it synced up.
