Any long term harm in running 100% Lucas in my power steering?

I've been using the Lucas power steering stop leak for a year or maybe two now, to 'solve' a leak at the gearbox/pitman arm. It slows the the leak by 80%, but it still leaks, and I keep adding the Lucas. If figure all the ATF leaks out looong ago, and it's gotta be straight Lucas. This stuff pours like honey, super thick, which I guess is how it works.
So my steering has been less power assisted than it used to be, and I figure this is why. So I'm asking, what harm am I doing to the pump? I may be the only guy who ever did this long term, but if anyone has an educated guess on it?

PS I know I can just put a new gearbox in, but there's that money thing...

Good question.

I would think that it would increase line pressure just like running a heavier weight motor oil increases oil pressure.

I can't give a real answer, having no experience running straight lucas. Having seen the inside of the power steering pump plenty of times, I wouldn't worry about it. Guys do the same thing (same effect) when they run a smaller orifice to reduce power steering, right?

As long as you aren't cavitating, it should be okay as long as the lines can handle it. Might leak more. Dio you try running Ford type F trans fluid in it?

I've used the Lucas transmission stop slip/leak in plenty of ford power steering systems with decent results. Never had an issue after adding just didn't always stop the leaks.
