most new england drivers are terrible, ok all of us are. and yes hopefully after i lift the truck and get some new tires i plan on doing a little off roading nothing really crazy though mostly some trails or whatever i can find

what is your definition of a "bad" driver?

hmm....drivers who are slower than me...um, drivers that are faster than me...canadian truckers, old people....young kids....

Everybody else!!! :p

*chuckles*

i lived in Tennessee for almost 3years and everyone would wave as you drove by on the country roads..i couldnt wait to get back up here where everyone does something im used to like give me the finger

MOst folk up in Vermont are like that on back country roads. i can tolerate them until they're on a main paved road and keep going 40 thru a fifty, and when the 35 mph village comes up, they do 45. ohhh well....

Living in Beantown

I'm a native Texan who moved to Boston in January '01. I live near Wellington circle (not far from V8BoatBuilder).
Y'all are right: MAsshole drivers reach a new level of idiocy I could have never contemplated. These people are crazy.
And I readily agree wiht the VT drivers going WAY too slow. What's up with that? I'm from another state and I can drive the winding mountain raods much better than they. Oh well.

Just checking in.....
Karl

Im definatley a MASSHOLE. Live about 5mins. from Gillete Stadium. GO PATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i live about an hour from gillette in RI, and all ive got to say is GO BEARS!!

Im not from New England but I am from England does that count?

sorry, man...similarly, NEW Mexico or NEW Jersey, etc don't count either... :p hello anyways ;) I have this thread here to try and find nearby wheel-buddies since i know NO one in this region on this site who is within 2 hours of me.

I'm in Canton, NY. It's about as Upstate NY as you can get. I have a slightly lifted but mostly stock X. Hopefully, it won't be that way for long.

:chug

I live in Hillsboro NH. I don't know many trails in the area, I'll have to ask my brother's in law, they grew up there and know all the trails. I was on an Xterra web site (I know, Jap vehicle) but they did a run in Hillsboro and I'm trying to track down where it was. If any one wants to reach me, I'm at concordkid@attbi.com. I'm looking for a group in the area to run with and talk shop. Just statring the planning phase of woking on my '97 AWD. SHHH! Don't tell my wife, she don't know yet. (tee-hee)

I'm a native Maine-ah... born, grew up there.
I think we drive fairly well comparitively, but get a bad rap from all the Canucks and Massholes infesting our state during tourist season. ;) Ayuh, they add revenue to the state, but try using those clicky things when you're trying to cut us off! :P
As I've done a fair amount of traveling up and down the eastern/mid-atlantic states (and lived in ME, VA, MD, and PA) I would have to put the report card out like this:

ME - B NH - B
VT - B- MA - D
NY - B CT - D+
NJ - B PA - C
OH - B- MD - B-/C+
VA - B DE - B-
FL - C-

I'm a New Yorker (not NYC, the real New York) and lived in Houston for a while and then moved to Boston and from what I've seen, TX drivers are MUCH worse than Massholes. In MA, they drive like that because that's how you have to drive on MA roads. It's the civil engineers' fault people drive like that, not the drivers'. However, TX is wide open with lots of space on the roads. There is no excuse there.

I live in South Hampton, NH in south eastern NH. Not to far from Portsmouth, about 20 min.

Well if Xterras can do the trail, then we can easy! I also have a 97 AWD that I'm starting to mod.

However, I know that general off-roading is illegal in NH, and many clubs are trying to reverse that. If you find the trail, just check that it is indeed ok to use. If it is, maybe I will come up North!

I'm from the south shore, MA (about a half hour south of Boston) but will be at school in Worcester in the fall. :p

no way!! where south of boston? i'm at my mom's till sunday, in stoughton. maybe we oughtta hook up if you're around.
