Yeah dude, Ebay it. I got mine right at 100 bucks I want to say.

Only thing that was wrong with it, the bars were slightly bent, but you can bend them back. It's a common problem. Also, it didn't bolt in directly, I had to drill three holes, but it was super easy. After a run to the home depot to get some 1/4 " bolts/nuts, it was in. I only tightened them finger tight and I've yet to have a problem. I left the cover off that goes across the top, connect the oem grille, and headlights, I left that off so I could open my hood.

Not the same seller, but the same grille. That's about 70 or so I want to say when you add in shipping.

..The reason I ask is my billet grill is not the best and it's to flimsy for my taste...CJexplorer has a similar one but his is really nice compared to mine...

I say go with a billet grille, custom emblem, with clear corners, and it'll look badass.

There's an F-150 in town, completely blacked out, and he's cut into his billet grille adn installed black "tinted" (vht nighshades tint) fog lights. It's so awesome, lol. Just a cool touch I thought completed it, I've been trying to find it and snap a pic

It really is a pain in the ass not having copy/payste on my phone. Much more annoying than not even having flash support.

But if you can't wait just search for "explorer tube grille" on eBay. Only one guy sells em.



Edit: keep on mind I'm not trying to start a fight. I like billet plenty.

A set of billet grilles on a new gt-500kr would be probably the sexiest thing ever. But if you looking for something else tube is a viable option.

...I myself am not in a hurry...This thread just peaked my interest as my grill has been bugging me lately as it seems to bend if I look at it..

...When you suggested tube grill and I know what CJexplorer's billet grill looks like, I thought hmm...:scratch:...This could be an option...

keep in mind this seller uses the same picture for most of there grills but you can see the general picture...





i think the coolest thing for a first gen front clip would be a regular billet with the Big FORD oval off of a f150 tailgate in the middle and some KC Daylighters to either side cut in flush with the grille!!!

can anybody photo shop up a mockup of that idea?

also check this out. its a billet grille but with 7mm bars.



the only thing i dont like about billets on a first gens is most of the ones you see have the bars too far apart... looks like a screen door on the front of your truck...this solves that problem.

i may buy one of those maybe.

I'm working on it, I've seen him twice in town, I'm guessing he's a student at the school. I'm about to head out to get some concert and football tickets, so I'm going to swing through the school lot and see if he stays on campus.
