Any tips on installing grille guards/tail light guards?

I finally got my grille guard today and I'm hoping to install everything tomorrow. Do you guys have any tips or suggestions from past experiences when installing these things? They seem pretty straight forward so I'm not too worried. Also, for the taillight guards, I have self tapping screws but I've never used them before. Do I predrill holes the same size as the screw? Thanks for any help.

the key words are "self tapping" you dont have to drill a hole they self tap them selves.

i think you will have to drill a hole smaller than the self tapper. my tailight guards mount to metal. i also had to dremel the airdam a little for the front brush guard. that might be a merc issue though. mine is 65 pounds, glad i had help
