any tips on remote starter install?

I was wondering if anyone that has installed a remote starter on a 92-94 X has any tips that would help me with my installation? I have done these before but this is the first time I've installed one on an explorer. Thanks!

If you have done it before than you know maore than I will ever know. Just too many wires for me.

I did it on mine its a www.bulldogsecurity.com I got it from walmart . The site has wiring diagrams for each specific kinda car.
Its kinda a knuckle buster as the wies are all on top of steering colum under the dash. It took me the better part of a day but its doable if you have basic tools connectors etc. ,test light is a must, acheapie came with my kit.
If you are going to do the door locks too you will need a special relay as Ford has screwy locks(suprise).

Did you have to run power from the battery or did the remote module get its power from the constant 12 volt wires in the ignition harness?

mine had power come from the battery.

Mine was from a constant source , but either way is fine.
