Any tips on removing passenger side upstream oxygen sensor clip

2002 Explorer XLT 4.0 V6
I have 02 XLT 4.0 V6. I've tried from the bottom and through the wheel well but can't get enough leverage to unclip it. Any tips?

I use an 18" flat head "screw driver" to push in the clip and then just pull on the wires to disconnect the sensor. I get it from the bottom.
 






On mine the clip is facing up so can't get to it with screwdriver - I attached picture. I finally got it out with a pick tool.
