Any way to improve stock ifs

Just woundering what could be done to improve the stock ifs. I don't want to go Sas because first I don't think I need to with the trail riding I'm doing,and second I don't trust my welding skills to hold the stuff on ,third if I brake somthing I like going in to a store and being able to get parts ie no custom cut axels. So what can I do to improve strength, flex and overall preformance of the stock ifs.

Also let's say I have a saw saw and am not afraid to use it how big of tires could I fit with the tt shackle and 2inch body lift will cut all the way to the iner fender as long as I can close the back door and not see out side.

I just got done reading the whole thread last week (I have lots of time on my hands over here) The Black Hole Ive seen this truck in action and his hard work has definitely payed off.

are you wanting to keep this streetable or off road use mostly? I ask because have you though about a SAS?

Gave it alot a thought but like I said thier are no good axel from what I have found that fit under the front with out being narowed and having custom axel built for it(wounder if a xj axel would fit with some leaf spring). The sfa front dosent bother me for dd'ing my last 4x4 was a sfa and it was fine. But if I decied to go sfa I will just buy another truck probable an old. Suburban or somthing like that.

Also I don't think Sas is needed for the mild offroading I'm doing

How about a set of Bilstiens and new bushings?

I think its in the Blackhole thread, but somewhere he has all the part numbers for the heavy duty ball joints, tie rods, etc. You can get some locking hubs, ditch the sway bar( or make quick discos and limiting straps) and some good shocks, thats about all you can do probably.

Maybe run a locker for the times when you have a wheel in the air.

I was in the same boat as you, I was looking at a SAS but I don't really do any hardcore offroading so I think I may try my hand at some coilovers and upgrade everything else.

Well I want to go with a prunner front end if I up grade no Sas for me but that will be a while from now
