I was hoping someone could give me some clues here. 1995 X, driver seat is securely bolted but like a rocking chair. It's not the seat frame, that's fine, it appears to be the base that the seat bolts to.

The front left bolt is snug, but the seat lifts at this point. I'm wondering if a weld broke or if the bolt receiver pulled out.

Does anyone have a picture of this area without the carpet? I have looked and looked but can't find one. I'd like to take a peek as I have to dig in and fix this issue.

Also, I'm finally getting ready to move off of this forum (over to the 4 runner forum !!!). Just wanted to say thanks for all the help. There have been times I would not have gotten by without some of the writeups on here.

Below is a picture showing what I'm trying to tackle... passenger side because I couldn't find a driver side one to 'borrow'.

Just in case anyone wonders, there is a sheet metal bracket tacked to the floor that runs across the front of the seat over the hump that you can see from underneath the truck. That tack weld had popped loose so the bracket that the seat bolts to was loose across the floor. I drilled used some Grade 8 hardware to bolt it back down from the top of the bracket under the carpet, through the floor. When the seat was bolted back on it stayed in place.

Perhaps threads with more descriptive titles receive more attention.

:dunno:
