I cant afford them right now but was wondering wich shock is better; rancho rsx or monroe "reflex". Im looking for smoother ride(over bumps & potholes) and better handling. These are supposed to be really good shocks, are they?
Are there better ones than these? I also was told rancho was mainly for off road applications. Price definately matters but i still want a decent one. Any oppinions appreciated.

I have Monroe Relflex and they are a good handling shock, maybe a little stiff but I like them. I can run without my front swaybar no problem. I haven't heard good things about RSX, but have heard great things about the adjustable Rancho 9000. Also heard great things about Gabrial VST (supposedly the same as monroe only cheaper) and Bilsteins (more expensive).

Is the monro reflex a good street shock? Im not going to doing much offroad, except maybe daytona beach every once in a while!

For on road I'd say a great shock because they're a little stiff they reduce body roll and brake dive, and on road they aren't jarring.

Thanks bro.

How do you like the TB spacer? Noticable gains, or did you do it in conjuction with another mod and don't know.

i have monroe reflex shocks. they are great on road. much better than whatever shocks were on it when i bought it a litle over a year ago.

i never had the ranchos so i cant comment on them.

If i got any gains at all it was minimal. I was looking for a cold air induction kit originaly, and everybody i called said they couldnt find one for 4L ex. So this one guy sold me on the throttle body spacer, said its next best thing. I guess you live and learn. I doubt id recomend it to anyone, id say dont waste your money.

I have Monroe Reflex also. Great shocks, they are firm without the roughness.

how much do they cost ?

Yea i was in big-o today getting a nail out of my tire and i asked one of the guys in there about them(reflex),and he was really talkin them up. So i thought id come on line and get some opinions other than from a salesman. So far so good, looks like im going with the monroe's. He said it would be about 230.00 inst, i forgot what it was per shock.

Dude i guess you got one hell of a deal. I called about 10 different places and big-o was by far the cheapest. Did you install them yourself?

I think $230 sounds about right. I think I got them for $49 each at Autozone. I had to pay extra $60 to have them installed.

oh, i forgot about installation costs. yeah, i did it myself.
