Anybody install shocks with integral coil springs for front end

I need to add carrying capacity to my front end of my 1998 Ford explorer two-door sport four-wheel drive automatic. I am not looking to replace the torsion bars right now due to time constraints looking for a quick fix so I can mount a six and a half ft steel plow and heavy duty bumper. And recommendations on some kind of shock set up with a spring on it? I have seen them for rear ends but never saw them listed for front. Would the shock mounts be able to take the extra stress of having springs.

I have not cranked it up yet, have been thinking of the lift keys but don't know much about them. I will adding a pretty heavy bumper/light guard/ plow lift frame and pump which will stay on all the time plus the plow when if I need to use it as my back up plow truck. Hopefully I will never plow with it. How would it feel with like 250 lbs on the front and bars cranked up?

Timbren makes a set of hollow rubber jounce springs for the front of the 2nd gens. These are called SES, for suspension enhancement system. They bolt on where the stock bump stop goes. They rest on the lower control arms, and act as a helper spring.

Timbren is a Canadian company, and I'm guessing a plow use, is what they made them for.

You have to purchase timbren products thru a retailer, such as etrailer.com. they're pricey for what they are, but I bet they would work for you. Call them and ask?

I think that Timbren SES kit is about the only choice beyond the coil over upgrade deal.

I think I also bought that front kit too, I forgot since it was last Winter and I wanted to try the Timbren system(I saw it years ago but didn't have the money). I should do inventory in my garage soon, I need more space.
