Read the ad again carefully... then read the feedback people have left. That should answer all questions.

Section, the seat-of-the-pants power increase is way too much for you to handle! ;) :p

PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS!!!!! IT'S A WASTE OF MONEY!!!!!!!

HAHA read the buyer feedback, incredible entertainment for days there..

apparently this thing is designed to bypass your MAF, people actually get away with selling this?

its garbage, its a chip which is really a $ .05 resistor from radioshack.... the engine computer knows too much and will see this thing and not increase power becasue of it..... its a waste of money......

All the resistor does is make the ECM think the engine is not warmed up making it run rich.....

Just wastes fuel IMOO

Ok Thanks Alot For The Info Guys

The way it actually works:
There is a thermistor ( a resistor that will increase or decrease resistance with temp. ) in the Intake Air sensor that checks the temp of air going into your engine and your computer adjusts the air fuel ratio accordingly. This "chip" is just a regular resistor at the resistance value that will keep the air/fuel ratio at a single level by tricking your engine into thinking your engine that it is constanly the same temp.
Do they work? You might be able to measure a small amount of gain at certain temps, A SMALL amount.
Dont install this in your car because they will make your car think it is 33 degrees when it is actually 102, obviously that isnt good!
