I was thinking it would be cool to put in an LED to indicate torque converter lockup. Anyone done this? Is it overkill?

That would be a cool little mod. Although I can always tell when my TC lockes up as the RPMs drop a couple hundred...

Dont need an LED

When mine locks up it feel like a solid shift. A4LD jr shift correction kit, with all firm selectables. Oh and a few personal touches to;) The LED sounds cool though!

I've done this on another car I had. It was actually having problems with the TCC, so I used one of those lighted switches. Something like that can be real useful when diagnosing problems, because you can tell when the computer is telling it to engage.
