Heyo!

I was thinking about changing all my lights to red instead of green and was wondering if anyone else has changed the color of their bulbs and if so what lights they used!

i didnt change the color, i just moved to led's, it wasnt a hard job, but i bet the color makes it harder to do
i just bough 194 wedge bulbs off ebay with 5 smd Led's on each, pointing in every direction, good light dispersal, but one of my needles is darker than the other, only negative to my install

Im going to blue this summer :)

I'm wanting to change to led's as well does anyone know the bulb number? And how to remove the panel?

Soon to have a 3" body lift and 285/70r18 tires, cold air intake and maybe even boost

I'm not neccessarily interested in the LED conversion, but more of the color change.

Also! Does anyone know where I can find the switch lights for the radio bezel? Advance auto parts said no. NAPA said no. Ford dealership said I needed to buy new switches to get the lights... They are very little...

I'll post a pic later when my camera charges.

you wont be able to change the color unless you peel the green film from the gauge face. its a pain, unless you buy an aftermarket gauge face, but i havent found one yet where i like the font of the numbers and letters.

ive done it on other vehicles. Its kind of a pain. it involved sanding off the green film , then either painting the back side of the gauges or using leds to change out the color.

I am more focusing on fixing the lights that are burnt out .

^ Anyone ever used those?

Okay I need to replace these bulbs out of switches and here is the pic. Anyone have any idea?

Thanks!

I have been pulling my hair out trying to find them. I was gunna call superbrightleds.com after my biology lab.

Lemme know!

i was looking at some of the sites that sell LEDs and i think your best bet might be superbrightled.com

those little bulbs are usually just packaged with whatever switch they are attached to.

That's what the dealership told me. I'm not about to by new switches though.

You could do those l.e.d.s or pull the lights from a 2nd Gen Explorer's dash from the junkyard. I usually pull lights that I need or could use in the future from junkyard cars. They don't care and don't charge for them, just put them in your toolbox or pocket.

Niiiice. If you can tell it looks like someone already did that seeing as there is a blue bulb amongst the other green ones! haha.

I figured with the superbrightled.com ones I can replace the two very tiny ones and probably the long one. The one with the rubber holder I may have to find at radio shack. That is where is have been getting feedback to check out.

We will see!
