I have the westin bull bar now, and i was thinking about something to protect the rear bumper, stumbled upon this while lookin for something for my gf's xterra (yuuuuuck), has anyone ever looked into this? i would only consider it if it would actually perform well under a light collision, like my gf backing into a tree  , hence me searching for one for her, lol.....Thoughts?

i have seen them and i wouldnt mind getting one personally...

a buddy of mine at the fire house has a WESTIN BULL BAR and that same
" BUMPER BAR " i guess you could call it, on his 2004 XLT. they dont look bad IMO...

what do you think about it ???

Danny

I've seen them on toyota vans and the like - they seem to do their job, as they are usually dented and buckled, and the plastic bar is still unmarked. Would look good on a darkish colour (or the two tone dark grey like on mine); not too fussed with it against the white.

i do like it, and since im going to paint my trim black it wouldnt stand out as much which is a plus, but tires/wheels/ and the RB spacers is what is being saved on right now, almost half way there! but ill most likely get it after that

Is there any difference between the '03 explorer and the '03 mountaineer.. I'm talking about v-8 models.

I've seen those on ebay, for a pretty good price too, I think around $150,
They're sweet.

What are they called? Are they just rear nudge bars? I've tried searching for any rear bar for the Ex and I come up with zilch; but there's not much available for them in Oz (as you know - my spacers are Canadian!).

LOL..
I think they were called a rear bumper guard.

I bet that bar would be a pain if you have reverse parking sensors...The truck would think you're close to something.

It does look cool though!

yea it does have a note somewhere in red that says it interferes with the sensors, but youre protected with it! haha
