Anyone ever use Falken Ziex tires?

It's new tire time for the X and while originally the plan was to lift and put on some AT's, but the plan has changed since I am now working in Queens and will be commuting from Long Island daily.

I see sears has the Falken Ziex for a really good price and just curious if anyone has ran them and how they were? I'm currently running General Grabber HTS's and have been quite happy with them.

i run the falken ziex's on my car.. they are a good cheap tire.. which my car is for handling over speed and they grip awsome.. i do warn you that their rated for like 60000 miles and i drive my car pretty hard and ive only manged to get about 35k out of them and that was pushing the limit a little bit.. im not really sure on an SUV, seems like they would wear even faster with that much weight... for a cheap option i say go for it, i love em for handling and rain but you wont get much life out of them.. if you have more money to spend, find something better...

The ones I'm looking at are the SUV variant the Ziex S/TZ-04. I know a lot of people run the Ziex low profiles on their full size SUVs instead of spending the extra money on Proxes.

if cost is the biggest factor, do what you gotta do. if you want a tire that will last forever and give a good ride and handling i highly recommend Michelin LTX's. you'll pay up front, but they last forever (80-90k not unusual).

Yeah Michelin's are out of my price range.

Went to sears today to see about getting either the Falkens are another set of Grabber HTS's installed and apparently their online pricing leaves out a ~$25 shipping/handling charge they assess to each tire so I left.

when i first got my POS xlt, it needed tires and i couldn't see spending any more on it than necessary. i went to my local tire shop and told them i wanted something inexpensive. they had some tires for about $100 a piece, which i bought. these tires are a 15" street tire, are quiet and give a pretty good ride. so far (to my surprise) they are wearing really well. my daughter has the truck right now, but if you're interested i'll have her read the brand and size and post it for you.

FWIW I needed tires, little money to spend, retired you know. Anyways back in Nebraska ended up at Firestone. Was sold Primewell PS850's $275.00 for all four, mounted and balanced. Thought what the Hell, they should last for a while. I don't think they will wear out as long as I own the POS Ex. They handle good, ride good, and as I said wear like iron. No, they aren't BFG's, GoodYears, or Michelins, but they are what I could afford. And I have no complaints with them.

okay, i had my daughter go check on make/model. don't know about the snow. don't get much of that in Georgia, but with AWD i think they'd do okay. definitely a street tread though.

Model = SF340

16" may be more money (?) Check the internet for more on prices and customer reviews.
