Maybe it is the cheap way to go, but has anybody gotten an exhaust tip for their X? As a poor college student, I am not really looking to replace the whole exhaust, just trying to make it look nice until I get the $$$. I really hadn't seen anything posted so I thought I would see if anyone knows of a good brand or a good price for them or even if they look that much better? Any advice or comments are welcome...even if you do wanna call me cheap... HAHAHA!

I just got my chrome tip at autozone for like 5 bucks or less. I have stock exhaust right now and having the chrome tip adds to the exterior look of my vehicle in my opinion.

Check this pic out to see what it looks like on mine.

I have a 3" chrome tip cost me $10.00 CDN,
You can get 4.5" chrome tips cheap but that may be overdoing it just a littel bit LOL:D

I also have an Exhaust tip, but it is for this reason(see photo below).

You can kind of see the chrome tip in this photo:

I got mine at a local auto parts store. There really isn't a specific brand of chrome tip to buy, its just what ever they have on the shelf that will fit your exhaust system.

So if I am to get an Exhaust Tip, is it true that I will just attach it to my old rusted pipe? I was thinking about just buying a whole new exhaust pipe and then attaching it to that. I am not real sure what that would cost, but I dont think that it would be all that much. Additioanlly, they are pretty easy to attach correct? I am thinking that it just screws on or clamps on in some way. Thanks again guys and any other cool exhaust tips are welcome...

P.S. GLC your picture would not load for some reason, but CBoug's did. Maybe my computer is acting up...but thanks anyway!

Just attatch the tip to the end of your rusty old pipe. Your tip will typically come with 3 screws and all you do is slide the tip over your old pipe and then tighten the screws down to hold it in place...that's it!

Sounds easy enough...even for me!!! Thanks a lot...

Hey, if you can find about US$160, you can get a Flowmaster exhaust cat-back system.
