supposedly it can be run as a 3/4/5/6/7/8 channel... I'm interested in the 5 channel capabilities of it... But I can't seem to find much info on it... I'm looking to run around 50-100 watts to each door and then approx 800 to a single sub... Thats what I'd like to do anyway...

MA audio

They have great amps and subs, there amps are alot like rockford amps way underrated:D

hmm

I disagree. I have been wwell known to the MA audio products for a while.

they make GREAT low line subs!!! the XEs are great, but the synergy, IL and other higher models suck. The XEs work great, but perform more as a midbass driver when sealed OR ported to 30Hz, they cannot play below 35Hz easy at all (save the 18" XE)

the amps are good, but even their class "x amps are actually class AB, and suck major power from a battery or alternator that canot supply. unless you have dual alternators or a great HO 200+ alternator, dont expect 4000 watts from their HC 4000 watt amp, it only performs about 3/4 of that power at 12.6 volts, but if you CAN supply 14.4 volts, it WILL produce MORE...

also, the hardcore subs in my opinion suck. They will not publish t/a parameters on them, nothing, I have emailed with no response many times. in fact, their customer service sucks, lol...

they haven't won anything with any sub above the XEs...

ex: my friend and I have 95' mustang, 2 12" XEs with two DEI 250D amps doing only 250 watts each, sealed in .91 cu ft boxes... doing 143.5dB on a linear X mic, and 146.8dB on a termpro mic... this is insanely LOW power...

and the coolest thing, there is a guy on ebay that sells two of these 12"s for $180 shipped... we brought them from him, highy reccomended...

I have a class x amp, the smaller one, and it doesn't even dim my headlights, at a 1ohm load. I have 2 alpine type r 12" s in there i borrowed from a friend, he's in basic training right now, and the set up hits good.... I personally love the amp, it hasn't let me down yet. MA audio in my opinion is a good brand, even though everythings made overseas.... Good price on there stuff at thezeb.com too. And as was said their customer service is not great, nor is their warranty repair. a shop that i frequent, has a grand cherokee with 2 12" synergys hitting 151.3. to sum it up, good stuff!!!

oh yeah if youre interested in ma audio amps, wait till the new ones come out, the hard kore amps specifically..... And as for the class X amps, they are not class A/B, they are digital, and to quote ma audio, they are a class D amp with a digitally controlled power supply. And just for reference, the 5011dx (class X), which produces 1000-1500 watts @ 1ohm, needs only 4 30 amp fuses, total: 120 amp , while the 1382HX, a class A/B amp makes 1000 watts and requires a 150 amp fuse.

thats a poorly efficient class D amp... I have a class D amp that's much more efficient, does 1545 true watts at 12.6 volts 1ohm

and 1678 true watts at 13.8 volts 1ohm...

only has 3 30amp fuses... max ampherage draw is 117 amps total, we did these test ourselves
