try cleaning the Mass Air sensor. It is located just above the airfilter box. You'll have to use special tool to remove the security bolt (I used niddle noise vise and replaced it with phillip head type screws).
Here is how after you remove the sensor. Get yourself a carbruator cleaner and spray onto the element. It should be clean and have no oil or dirt on the filement. Just be very careful not to damage the filement when you replace it back onto the unit.
Disconnect the Negative battery for around 10 minutes and reinstall the terminal. You'll have to drive the vehicle around at least a few miles to have the computer reset itself.
Thanks! when I get myself a chance I will give it a shot. The main thing is to get a hold of that special bit to take off the sensor. It's a security bit and I need to find where I can buy it invididually. I know of a $30 set, but I only need one.
no, not the sears I work at. I work at the one in good 'ol DOwners Grove , IL... literally the smallest sears left in business... they don't have much due to space constraints.... I will definitely look to pep boys though, thanks for the info
