Its about time to flush my cooling system and I was curious as to whether or not I should go ahead and swap out the pan. I notice that B&M makes a larger (2quarts) pan that is alluminum and ribbed for better cooling. I do a lot of light towing 2-3k pounds and want my 4r70w to last. What is your opinion on the "cooling" pans out on the market. Do they really make a difference? thanks, Bob

More fluid helps keep the tranny cooler. (heat is the main enemy of a tranny) Cooling fins (heat sinks) help also. Just keep in mind that a larger pan will stick down lower and if you wheel your truck it will be easier to hit.
