Chris,
I'm up in Santa Clarita but I could probably manage to find a Saturday to help you out.

I did my 3" Body lift by myself and it took me ~8 hours. But i figure it'd take me about 4 if I had to do it again :)

I'll be in San Diego after June 10th, but you probably don't want to wait that long. You're in good hands with Jefe.

Can i tag along to learn also? I can help too with some direction. What day are you planning to do this. If it is easy, i'm thinking of adding it on to my lift so that i can squeeze in 33's.

Jefe,
How is it going? Have you been around USC lately?

Im in fullerton too. If you help me do a white face gauge install, Ill help screw up your body lift. Never done one.. but I want to learn! :) If its easy enough, Id like to do a 2" lift.

Just a thought... we should have one of these other guys come down, and help us learn stuff. :)

thats a little far for me.. but you have my best wishes! Jefe might be exaggerating, i bet he can get it done in 2 hours with a good helper!:D
the thing that made it take so long for me (6hours 2") was whenever my wife came out i had to fake like i was "detailing" the car. i didnt tell her about it until after i did it. she was like "cool" so then i kicked myself for not getting the 3".
have fun!

I'll be there as long as I don't have to work. Jefe let me know if you need me to bring any special tools. :hammer:

Hmm. . We'll need a nice garage jack (I've got one if needed) and a good piece of wood (4x4 or the like), cut to correct length. A drill with 1/2"(?) bit (can bring). Good socket set (again, i have). Lock-tite (don't remember if the kit comes with it). . . .And a welder, chop-saw, drill press, and some beefy metal if you want me to help you move the bumpers 3" up :hammer:

It is a garage project. . as long as your Ex will still fit in the garage after becoming 3" taller. :)

hmm.... well i could get the loctite if needed and the wood and metal if u give me soem dimensions. then a welder, chop-saw, and drill press would be all we needed if u brought your stuff... do any of you other guys have:

-welder
-chop-saw
-drill press

actually we might be able to get away with using the brackets that come with the kit, with a little :hammer: modification. However a drill press would still be very handy.
As for wood. a 2x4 about 12"-18" long, and a 2x4 or 4x4 long enough to go from the ground to to about 4" short of the body. (this is for lifting the body away from the frame)

the thread lock will come with the kit.... with the PA kit anyway.

alright... when u say "4" short of the body" where on the body would i measure from?

and 94EBexplorer, thanks for clearing that up about the lock-tite.

I can bring the chop saw and a BAW (big ass welder) but it requires a 220 outlet (like a dryer outlet if you have one in your garage) I also have a smaller 120V welder but it's a POS in my opinion. Let me know if a torch will be of any use so I can get my tanks refilled. I can also bring a big floor jack, my only drill press is a 2HP milling machine that I don't think anyone wants to volenteer to take apart, transport and reassemble.

Any weekend this month is good for me.
