Does anyone know of a way to fix the gas tank float? ive been using the mileage way for about a year and its getting on my nerves. plus if i wanna sell it, that can be a pain. i took it by 2 places and each wanted 250-300 and i aint givin em that much. i'd rather do it my self. anyone know? thx!

I went to the parts store and its only available through Ford. I think it would be a simple job but time consuming. I've been doing it for almost a year too.

I purchased the entire fuel pump assembly, including the sending unit for the fuel gauge, for $81.00 at my local auto parts store, Murray's, everything with lifetime warranty. Autozone also sells it, for about $114.00. Mine is for a '93 Explorer, I have to imagine it's the same unit.
