ran the x-ray scanner on my truck and 2 of my O2 sensors are bad. They are tucked up on top of the exhaust pipes and looks like I may need to drop the exhaust to replace them. Just wondering if anyone was able to replace them without removing the exhaust...... both of the pass side ones are shot.

I've been able to replace the bank 1 sensors without dropping the exhaust. On my 96, there is an access plate above the transmission. You can open it up by removing the console, pulling back the carpet and removing the 4 screws. Once opened, you will have easy access to the connectors for bank 1 sensors 1 and 2, and bank 2 sensor 2. Getting the sensor out wasn't difficult, and once I had access to the connectors, it only took about 15 minutes.

Niiice. I was going to say I have.. but it was pretty easy cause there was no body on the truck. :p

But I like Paul's way better.

thanks for the input guys..... Im going to play with it saturday!! I will try pauls way and hopefully it works... If not Ill cut a whole in the floor-lol... and then get a peice of sheet metal and seal it afterwards. Thats what I just did to my mustang so I have full acces to my fuel pump without removing the entire tank.
