Hey everyone,
I'm regearing soon so I figured I'd upgrade my 8.8 diff cover to a heavy duty aluminum one with a stud girdle built in. I found one made by Summit Racing:

I found this as a cheaper alternative to the SVO or TA covers. What do y'all think?

just remember, cast aluminum isnt as strong as the stock steel cover if it gets hit. may want to consider that in off-road situations.

I'm not 100% sure but I think the Summit cover is made by the same place that makes the SVO and TA covers. As far as off-road, just make sure the bottom lip of the cover dosent hang below the edge of the diff. If it does grind it off untill there is no lip to snag on a rock and break the cover.

Alrighty then ;) I'll order it soon!

It's 180 or 190 from them. Lowest I found on the TA cover was 150.

Alec, You may want to check Currie Enterprises as they make a cover for the 8.8 under misc 8.8 items.

And they deal w/ Off Road products. Here is the link.

Ended up going with the TA cover as I got it for the same price as the Summit one.

Thanks for the responses though!
