Anyone use Gabriel Shocks?

I need new shocks because I am almost at 100k and still on stock shocks. I want to lower my truck maybe 1" total so I need a shock that is pretty cheap but is going to ride good a bit lowered. I was looking into the Gabriel Maxcontrol shocks. Are they worth the 50$ a peice price tag? if not what should I get

Funny. I just bought 4 of the Gabriel Maxcontrol shocks today. I was able to get the rear shocks on, haven't got to the fronts yet. After driving with the new rear shocks, I noticed that the ride is much firmer in the rear and doesn't sway as much. I'll post back here once I get the fronts on.

But so far, I like them a lot.

Yes, I did buy them at Autozone. No, I don't plan on lowering my Mountaineer anytime soon, still at stock height.

Personally I don't like Gabriel or Monroe. I'd go with Bilstein or KYB.
