I have been thinking about buying one of these kits for a while. If i get them and dont like them or get tired of them, how easy is it to get em off?

Chuckey D has one and it looks sweet:D

If you get tired of them, you pull the suckers off and clean up the remaining glue with Goo Gone or a similar product.

sweet, thanks

I got mine from a member here but he told me he got this from www.exoticwoodash.com. I took a pic of mine a while ago so here it is if you want to see how it looks. Hope this helps.

That looks really sharp. I havnt decided what to do yet . One idea is to buy a cheap kit and paint it a flat black. I want to keep the black and tan scheme in the car. Maybe I'll make the pieces around the window controls in the front and rear, and the vents on the sides black. Sorry if this doesnt make sense, it would be easier to show you.
But i really like the way the wood looks in the pictures and this is definately possibility.

I have a wood kit, take a look at my sig for my web page and pics.

If you have a tan interior...definitely go with the wood. Click on my signature for more pics.

Yeah, I think the wood has won. It looks alot better.

KodeBlu, where is that kit from?

cnaso00, by me having a Limited model, it already came with the wood strips on the doors and around the radio. As for the wood around the gauge cluster, on the console and around the passenger's air vent...I lucked up and found a kit on Ebay that was similar to the wood that Ford put in there.

Thanks, all the dashes look really sweet. I'll keep my eyes open for some deals on ebay, ect.

I HATE MY DASHKIT... If there was one thing i could redo on my ex it would be never to have put it on my truck. I have the 3m carbon fiber kit. IT SUCKS it is peeling up in several places. I want to take it off but i am worryied it will leave marks or take off the top layer on my dash. I just wanted to let you know before you buy one. I HATE MINE

I have a Carbon Fiber Dash Kit on my X and I love it..... Check my link in my Sig for pics.... I'll be posting more pics of it tonight on the same site...

Jeffseal, where did you purchase yours from?

Jeffseal, Peel it off so I know what happens!!!
No, I'm totally joking, dont mess up your interior! Thats what I am afraid of if I were to get a dash. Could you loosen the adhesive up with some type of adhesive remover?

Hmmm...interesting. I never heard of anyone else complaining of a dash kit peeling. Did you do it yourself or was it 'professionally' installed? If someone else installed it...do you know if they used the adhesive promoter? I had a black '97 Sport and the first thing I did was install a carbon fiber kit. I had it for two years before getting the Limited and I never had any problems with it peeling.

i installed it my self and yes i used the adhesive promoter. I got it off ebay.

Are there any dash kits out there that screw in like the original one you have? **Like you unscrew the original and then screw in the new ones?** Thats probably the only way i would go but i have never seen one that does that.

no as for currently known.. there are none that are being produced. if you are really serious about getting a replacement dash kit.. not just a stick-on kit. then i suggest contacting a customs shop like exoticwooddash.com or some other place... its just gonna cost hella money tho. i've seen one done before on a 99explorer sport at Hot Import NIghts. but thats all i know
