Hey guys need some info. Any of you heard about these bulbs, APC Plasma? They claim to be brigther than the PIAA. The question is do they require more power than PIAA? I had some troubles in the past with High Output bulbs, so I want to make sure I'm getting the highest output, but as close to the factory power specs as possible.

Any info will be appreciated, thanks.

Hello there....I have the APC plasma 9007 in my explorer with the illegal 85/100 watts. They're alright, light is a little whiter and now my brights don't work because of the wattage. I would go with the PIAAs cause you just can't go wrong with them.

apc plasma

I would say the best light bulb out for most or all explorers are PIAA. MOst light bulb are some what of a knock off of them.

Thanks guys, I believe I'll go with the PIAA. I sent an email to APC requesting info on the Wattage consumption of the Plasma bulbs. I got no answer yet. I know for a fact that PIAA super whites require the same power as the factory ones. That is a big plus if you dont want to modify the wiring. I'll give APC a few more days and then I'll make my decision.

Thanks guys.
