Hey, i just installed my apten chip and something is not right. My switch is different from the one pictured so I called apten to see what number does what. Its a turn dial with 0 to 9 on it. The guy on the phone was a retard and didn't seem to know much. He told me 0 is 91 octane, 1 is 87 octane, and 7 is stock. So after I installed it, I left the setting on 7 and the truck started fine, then I tried 1 and the truck takes alittle while to start and runs rough and tries to stall, last i tried 0 and it started fine. So this leads me to think the dumbass on the phone told me the wrong numbers. It seems to me to me that 0 is 87, 1 is 91, and 7 is still stock. I had alittle less than 1/4 tank (87 octane) left so i put it in 0 and took it on the highway, the truck seems to shift harder so i guess its in the right setting (87 performance). I then put 3/4 of 92 octane in, turned the setting to 1 and tried to start, it started up quicker but it runs like sh*t and the truck almost dies if i go past 2000 RPMS and now the check engine light is on. I cleaned the contacts good too. What could be the problem? The guy told me 91 octane, but we dont have that in my area, so i put in 92, is this the problem? Thanks for any help.
