Are all '95-'01 lift gates interchangeable?

I have a '99 Exp, 4dr, Eddie Bauer.
While the back hatch was up someone backed it into the house.
Barely bumped it but looks that the hatch is bent/pushed-in at the hinge.
I had to take off the lift shocks and just close it.
There's a gap between the roof and hatch
it doesn't leak but cant use lift shocks
It's not the normal "gap/seam of a hatch being closed.

I don't want to waste my time at the junk yard or craigslist if I dont know what'll fit

95-97 are not the same as 98+.

I am not sure differences, if any, in the 98-01 year span. Hopefully someone will chime in.

Note hatch pillars are different. Note taillight are different. Taillights are not interchangeable either. Note license plate location are different.

No differences '98-'01.

I'm surprised no one has chimed in on attempting to fix it by realligning the hinges. It sounds like the hatch just shifted on the hinge.. with the help of a buddy or 2, you could align it back.
