I'll compromise; I'll leave the din-removal tool in it. :)

Tony H, The Radio Is On Its Way

The wife had to go into town so she took the package to the Post Office for me. Unfortunately, she didn't spend the extra buck-seventy-five to send it Priority Mail so it's coming to you Parcel Post (old man on a slow pony). I should not have assumed that she would Prioritize it. Oh, well. You should have it by Friday or Saturday.

Oh, yeh. I DID leave the din-removal tool in the radio because that made it fit the packaging almost perfectly of the old Pioneer box that I shipped it in. Now you won't have to dig styrofoam peanuts out of the tape door.

Later,

You're a funny man!

The Slow Boat is OK. It's 12 degrees AGAIN! So I'm not too antsy to get out there. It was painful to pull the dash off to see if I had a 19B132 version radio or the 19B165 type.

See, now you have a real life scenariowhen you wife wants to rifle thru your stuff and throw it out. You can always say "Hey, remember the Tony-Radio situation? Put that (fill in the blank) back on the shelf.

Thanks again.

She might have done you a favor then. Hopefully it will be warmer by the weekend.

I had that real-life scenario recently. I had saved a very heavy duty ANL fuse holder and 150-amp fuse from the "wifey heave-ho" that ended up being needed by huskyfan23.

All in All done!!!!!!!! little heads up

Yeah, almost 30 degrees this morning.

Special thanks to Cobrajeff who nailed the pinout configuration between the two radios. Unplugged the old radio , saw #7 pin empty, your color coding was correct so instead of buzzing it out to double check I blindly followed your instructions. Figuring out the locking mechanism on the connector was easy enough.
I have to admit though. I did turn it on before buttoning the whole thing up. I was born at night...just not last night.

Very very grateful for GIMP who tossed me the radio out of his '94 X. It works great , cassette too, I even figured out the clock. PERFECT. looks like it grew there.

The heads up for those looking to 'play'. The Plastic guide piece for the DIN slide is installed different. Minor filing and a #8 screw and nut resolved it.
I took a few pics of the install if anyone is going to upgrade with Stock radios.

Now to get back out and swap the Auto Hubs for Manuals.
Again guys thanks a million!!

Glad to hear you got it installed and working.

As I said, everything worked well when I took it out - clock worked, tape didn't drag, etc. - so I figured you wouldn't have any problems with it.

So, have you had a chance to listen to that Ford Audio demo tape I sent along with it? ;)
