I am going to replace my rear 02 rotors on my XLT in the next few weeks. I'm glad I surfed this board, because I didn't event think that the inside of the rear rotor was used as a drum for the ebrake? I used to have a 94 and no matter how many times I turned the adjuster I had to still pry the drums off. I hope I don't have to do the same again.
1) I see from some post that the ebrake cable can be removed and that is the same as turning the star adjuster behind the rear grommet. Is it easier to turn the adjuster or remove the parking brake cable? Will removing the ebrake cable allow the rotor to slide off after hammering or heating?
2) For those of you who did this already did this do you recommend to remove the ebrake cable or turn the adjuster?
3) Which side has the ebrake? I assume the side that doesn't have it the removal is the same as any rotor, hammering and heating.
Thanks
