Are overhead consoles with and without the sunroof switch the same size?

Are the overhead consoles from Explorer's the same size, whether they have the sunroof switch, or the garage door opener compartment? I want to swap the innards from one with gray trim (garage door opener compartment) into one with green-ish trim (sunroof swtich), and I'm wondering if it will work? (Obviously would have to cut slot for compartment latch on green trim).

Don't want to seem rushed, but can anyone comment on the above before I go ahead and get a console?

Well, I ended up buying one of both. I'll find out for myself when they get here.

The one without the the sunroof button is a couple inches shorter.

91-94 Explorer Sunroofs were installed a few inches closer to the windshield, compared to the 95-01.
