are silverstar 9006 different than silverstar 9005???

I went a salve store that sells closouts, imperfect, etc. from other store, cloths, toys.... you get the idea.... I went to the car setion and found silverstars for about 50% less than normal; so i decided to buy hi and lows for my '04 xls.

After the install, I noticed that the hi's were pinck-ish and the low's were green/blue-ish.... other than the voltage, I don' think that there is another difference... or is there?

Is this the way is supposed to be? hi=pinck and low=blue

I got silverstar 9006 in my 96 X Sport headlights, and my lows have funny lightining also lows have like the bluish greenish but mixed with a array of colors with mixs of purples and reds, my highs are jus like yours with the pinkish/red that underlay blue mixed with the array of rainbowish colors, so i suppose thats how they are suppsosed to be unless there is a different from my 96 to your 04

it is wierd; you would think that the lows and the highs of the same brand for the same car will look the same, but you'd be surppppprised...

I noticed the glass itself is tinted differently the 9006 from the 9005...

oh well...

I like them anyway...

maby thats the reason you bought them from the salv store....they had been tanpered with our are a bad set of lights.
