Hi - New to the board but I figured I'd start out with a bang. I've got an '06 Explorer that runs fine, or at least it did until today. This morning I jumped in and tried to start, but nothing happened. My first thought was battery/alternator, but everything outside of the cluster panel worked - windows, lights, radio - everything. I tested the battery, too, and it's got a full charge. There's just no juice getting to the cluster panel, nothing there lights up. I checked all the fuses, and none of them looked blown, so no dice there. My next thought is the starter, but before I go down that road I wanted to check if anybody here has experienced anything similar? If the starter's bad, would that explain why the cluster panel is dead? Is there something I'm missing, or something else that I should be looking at? Any help would be great. Thanks!

The starter being bad would not cause the cluster to be inop if everything else is working. Somewhere you lost a power to the cluster. I recommend testing your fuses with a meter, not just looking at them. Replace the bad one/s and try again. If you have to start digging in and testing individual wiring then you will need a diagram.
