Armrest Headaches

I already posted in the wanted section to see if anyone had something available but there weren't any responses. So, I think I'll "change the venue" a bit.

I need a grey armrest for a 99 XLS. It's mounted on a short pedastal above the removeable "explorer tote console". I already tried different cements and JB weld to rejoin all of the sheared plastic, but it just falls off the first time I put my arm down.

Has anyone found an outlet to buy a used/new replacement? Better yet, does anyone have a spare/leftover/partout that they'd be willing to part with cheaply?

Trust me, that's the first place I looked. I saw one last week for $90, but I cant afford that. Other than that, the only armrest listings on ebay are for reupholstering services.

I found a replacement kit at rockauto.com, but it was more than $60 just for the bottom plate and required sacrificing the cupholder.

From reading your post, it's still unclear to me exactly what you are looking for. Do you need the whole assembly, or are you looking for the arm rest covering?

If it's recovering you're after, I bought a kit from http://www.fixyourford.com/ for $24 (shipped). It took me about an hour (I was working slow) to complete the transformation - from cracked and torn to brand new! The kit only comes with the actual cloth (cut to size) and detailed instructions.

If you're looking for the whole assembly... I don't know what to tell you. I've seen them fetch a pretty hefty price on eBay.

I cracked the entire plastic bottom support panel of the armrest. I basically need the entire assembly (w/ or w/o the pedestal bracketing). They definately get ridiculous prices on ebay.
