At my wits end

I am trying to get my E-brake to work, it never has since I bought it in Feb.

I replaced the LR parking cable yesterday, of which was longer than OEM(thanks Auto Zone). I've tried adjusting the shoes to the max, nothing. Shoes are still with-in spec. I'm thinking of rebuilding the entire drum, shoes nad springs. Any ideas?

not to familar with the tracs but there is usually a "nut 'n bolt" piece along the length of the cable usually right under the drivers door. u adjust the drums with slight drag. then tighten that nut/bolt thing till you get good engagement of the parking brake

No adjustment on the Sport Trac parking brake cable, only the star adjusters inside the brake drum.
Wish there was, my pedal is almost bottomed before it holds on a slight incline. (Stretched cable)
