aTCS & Message Center no power/blank

I replaced athe fan blower motor with an aftermarket motor because the old one would not start anymore without a 'nudge'. It worked well for a week or so, then the ATCS started acting up. The display would show weird or partial characters on the readout. This happened intermittently for a week or so and then the display went totally dark and I no longer have any temp control or fan. I disconnected the new fan but this did not resolve the problem. Then the Message Center display went blank as well.

I checked the appropriate fuses inside and under the hood and they all look alright.

I am stumped...can anyone please suggest what may be the root cause here or where I should look?
