Atlas II Transfer Case - How Strong?

How many Ft-Lbs of torqu will an Atlas II transfer case handle? I am trying to figure a way to have selectable 4x4 on my Ranger V8 and so far have only found one solution - use an Expedition transfer case with a standard cab gas tank. It seems like a great solution, but I will loose 3 gallons of capacity in the process, taking me to 200miles/tank.

I have been eyeing the Atlas lately, but cannot find detail on its torque capacity. I have an Explorer V8 now, but will have either 351W or Kenne Bell SC on it within 6 months. Targeting 400-450 ft-lbs.

Does anyone know much about these cases???

Thanks!

Atlas II t-case are the strongest on the market, and I don't believe I've seen one that's stronger... besides and Atlas III which had a larger output shaft, I think. Somewhere in it all, it's a HD shaft.

That could be it... When refered to, I've always heard it being called an Atlas III, although, I don't know that it's any different than the front output....

Thanks for the quick turn answers. I checked out their web, but missed the torque rating. Thanks for pointing it our. All I was finding earlier was info on the gear ratios, applications, and the link to Adv. Adapters.

Yeah, I guess 900 ft lbs would do it:D
