Hi, Sedition here from Newcastle Australia.

I'm after a Jackshaft plug for my SOHC Explorer. I can't find one anywhere and I have almost run out of ideas on how to obtain one.

I don't care what it costs or how and when it gets here but I do need one. To give you an Idea, Ford Australia used to sell them for $45 but no longer stock them. No Auto parts stores in the country stock them and in most cases are puzzled as to what it is until I show them a diagram.:mad:

Please help, Thankyou... :salute::us::thumbsup::exp:

If that's the case...you should probably add the diagram here too..;)

I tried to find the right pat number for that, but I am not sure if I have the right one or not. If F77Z 6026 AB is the right one, it looks like Ford dealers here are listing it in stock for about $15US. Try looking at a US dealer site like TascaParts dot com and see if they will ship to you. If not, you could probably get someone here to mail one to you. Another option would be to just find a regular freeze plug the right diameter. That should do the job for about a dollar. The part I mentioned above is listed as 51mm.

If you can't find one online send me a PM. I work at a Ford dealership and could pick one up and ship it to you.

rear jackshaft plug PN

The PN I purchased was F77Z6026AB, Cover assy/rear of block jackshaft opening plug. I just checked that number with TascaParts and its listed as an engine expansion plug. They also have F77Z6026ABFC which is listed as cover assy - rear with no photo shown. So I don't know if the one I bought has been superseded or if I purchased the wrong one. See post 331 thru 339 (page 17) of this thread SOHC V6 Timing Chain Saga for more information and my confusion about which way to install it. Most timing chain related part numbers can be found on this thread: SOHC V6 Timing Chain Related PNs
