thanks Dre Everybody Dre did his good deed for the day, he sold me the axle shaft out of his old setup. Now I hope the "reasonable" labor the shop said they'll charge doesn't kill me to be ready for Thursday
I would say I got room for some people in my room but after writing that poem I'm sure everybody thinks I might be a little strange

Heck!! After all let me vent a bit if I may....... I did a lot of work on my truck lately..... spent a lot of money...... that's not the point though...... ever since I started going at it, I guess right after my last trip to Attica wheeling my truck got new front bumper with a winch, 4:10 gears front and back, lockers front and back, 2" of suspension lift plus spacers in the front, 1.5" of body lift instead of 3", totally new rims (5) with 33X12.50 mudders, rear spare tire carrier, new shocks and totally new brakes at all four corners including steel braided lines...... that's not all but at least that's what I remember...... I just took my truck for alignment yesterday and guess what?!?!? I still need more!!! ball joints have to be replaced!!!!!! I knew about it since fall but was thinking that I can get away with it by installing the front end I bought from Kampy..... ball joints have been newer on that..... well, I couldn't use that though since my truck has ABS and Kampy's doesn't....... not compatible!!!! now with nearly 3" of suspension lift up front with no drop brackets the guy has hard time aligning the front...... adjustable bushings won't work!!!!!!!! new bushings, new ball joints ------- $800.00.........men!!! will I ever stop spending money on it?? my wife is kind of pissed now,,,,,,,,, no wonder..... within the last few months I spent about $5000.00 on my truck and it's still not totally done.....

enough is enough though, I'm done........

Dre, I had to change the ball joints a few months ago (when those new spicer U-joints were put in I broke) It felt like the stupidest $800 I ever spent but I killed a lot of birds on that project. If you want to join rooms I'd be more than happy to go halfs with ya, Figure thats an extra $90 we'd save and I'd get a rolloway and my copilot could use the bed. We could have a "Limited" room if you catch my drift. Axle project goes down tomorrow morning...cross your fiingers

argh, my explorer is driving me nuts. WEnt out yesterday to make sure it was working ok, battery was dead. I kind of expected that, it'd been sitting for about 4 months. So I charge it overnight and now no matter what its not getting over about 9 volts when it should be around 14... it's got enough juice to start the car but even getting the thing to move is tough... anyways, I'm gonna keep on working on it today... I just replaced the alternator and I may take the battery in tomorrow for testing. If its not one of those.. who knows... anyways, I'll be at Attica whether I have the explorer with me or not .

OK Dan, you're on for the room. Wife is not going because just last week we found out that on Thursday evening my daugter has a play at school. I'm gonna miss that....... Yeap! I should pick up my truck today by 4:00 PM........... everything should work, I've done a lot to it latelly......

Does anybody know if you have to pay the 60-some dollar admission fee just to stand around and watch and NOT run the trails? And ride with someone perhaps ( ) Because if there is anyway we can be up there, we wont be running the trails, and we would only be there one day, and it would either Saturday or Sunday, so its pointless paying 120 dollars to just stand around and not go out. I searched the Badlands site and found no help. If noone here knows, I'll just email them, but I imagine they wont reply, since they havent ever replied to any of my other emails We'll see what happens.

Yup they say everyone in the vehicle pays that same fee, what a ripoff, you can bring a blanket and hide in my cargo area until we get past the gates if you want!!

Well, the $68 includes four all you can eat meals which is about $40. Plus three days at Attica which is $45 just for that. There is going to be some sort of entertainment, plus organized trail runs.

$68 is far from a rip off even if you are just riding.

If you are not staying for the whole trip then that is a different story. The reason they charge everyones is so that people din't just come for a day eat have a good time and leave without paying.

Also, you can't get on the property without a paid reciept.

I've seen a couple different articles Peterson's Offroad magazine covering this event. I think it was the 99 event where the article said something of a bikini contest. Wow that wasn't in the original plans but I won't complain. Cameron, If you see this, I want a liscense plate frame if you have them left.
