i dont really understand your question....

how are you hooking up the sub? series or parallel?

if your amp is stable to 2 ohms mono, then parallel would be the best way to go. it's more efficient. series will give you an 8 ohm load....

EDIT: the above post only applies if your sub has dual 4 ohm coils. i think that's what your sub has (it's the 1200, right?).

yup my amp runs at 2 ohms stable and it is the 1200Q and its dual 4 ohm voice coils. the last 2 times i had it wired up so that only one coil would work. so can you show me how the wires should go?

that's one of the worst things you can do to a subwoofer.

both + terminals on the sub should go to the + terminal on the amp. and both - terminals on the sub should go to the - terminal on the amp. that is how you wire the coils in parallel.
----------------------------------
if you were to wire it in series (dont do it this way, i'm just going to tell you so you will know in the future if you upgrade to 2 subs):
wire one + on the sub to a - on the sub. then the other + to the + on the amp and the other - to the - on the amp.

oh and make sure that (if your sub is new) you play it at low volumes during the break in period. this will prevent damage to the sub during high excursion and listening for a long time. you should break in your sub for at least 10 hours of play, but the manufacturer recommends 18 hours.

alright im so out of it that i still dont understand it, this is how i had it wired the first to times.

alright i had heard that, but 10 hours is straight, i dont even think it says in the owners manual that ya have to break it in.

on the subwoofer, there will be two + and two -

connect one + to the other +. then connect one - to the other -.

then connect a + to the amp's + and a - to the amp's -.

i wish i could post pics. then i could show you with a sub that i have lying around.

i just send you a PM

actaully, your sub will be wired to 2 ohms mono.
