Well, tomorrow I have to suck it up and fight the bee's to get my amp power wire and four 5x8's out of my 92 sport.
I have a few questions about the stock stereo on my 99.
first, what is the speaker wattage output?
secondly, is there a set of pre-amp out's on the back, or do i have to go buy one of those kits that splices into speaker wires to make a set of amp-outs.

1). depends on your stock sound system, there are two levels, for either system all the info you would need is in one of the stickies in this forum.

2). in most explorers the head unit and amplifier are separate (the amp being located in the rear passenger side) you can do the wiring yourself, but the kits are much easier, especially if you ever need/want to change out your head unit.
