Audio Install Question !!!!

Hello,

I'm in the middle of replacing the double din factory radio to a Pioneer double din unit. I was told by crutchfield that they dont recomend installing a double din unit on my particular year because of fitting issues and they didnt even supply and install kit for it. I also went to Autozone and they had 3 kits available but they all looked like they were manufactured to install a common 7"x2" unit. Has anyone installed a double din unit and if so how did you bracket the unit in place? Is there a company that has a kit for my particualr project?

Go to the Audio/Navigation forum here. You will find tons of examples of double din units in 2nd gens. You need to do a couple of minutes of filing on the bezel. That's it...and it doesn't even hurt or show if you go back to stock. Crutchfield can be ridiculous in their ways sometimes.
