Want to get this amplifier:Audiobahn A6004T

I also want to get a sub but im not sure which ones the amplifer can power. It has 75 x 4 and then 300 x 2 bridged. is that 300 watts to each sub or how does it work? Any sub, preferabbly audiobahn since i'm getting amp, recommendation would greatly help. thanks

would you consider my audiobahn three alum 10q in a sealed box with a audiobahn a2300hcq amp? 2400x1 amp with 800 watts rms to each sub. with 2 lightning audio 1 farad caps.

For an extra $150 I would get the A1500HCQ and two Flame Q 12s. You would need at least 2 farads of cap, but that would be alot of wattage!!!

the problem is i still need an amp to power speakers , just some front's, i'm on a budget so an extra $150 is a lot. i did some research on audiobahn and a lot of people have been dissatisfied and say it takes a lot extra power even for one of the smaller subs to get it to sound right. Any opinions on this or MTX? thanks guys

hmmm, from what I've heard, Audiobahn's sound real good with a large range of wattage...less or more power.

If you bridged the amp into 2 channels then you would have 300 watts x 2 channels, so any dual 4 ohm sub that can handle 500-750 watts total would work fine. If you want 2 subs then anything that takes around 300 watts at 4 ohms would be fine.
From looking at prices on thezeb the amp you want is $317, you could get a a1300hcq it will do 1200 watts a 1 ohm for $350.
I also think you going about this wrong - find a sub that sounds good and fit your price range then find an amp to power it.
MTX does make good amps (I have 2) but so does Audiobahn.

Cartman: are you saying that a "dual" 4 ohm sub takes each channel? I'm new to car audio and still learning about it all. If i'm bridging the amp, can I not use the 2 channels left over for front speakers? Are you saying that when i bridge it takes all the power and put it into 2 channels instead of 4? If that is how it works i was def wrong. I was under the impression that if you have a 75 x 4 amp that bridges into 300 x 2, u could use two channels for speakers and two for a sub. The way that i've been thinking its figure out what speakers I want, find an amp to power it, then find a sub. But if i can't even power the speakers by bridging an amp, then yes i agrew ith ur opinion "find a sub that sounds good and fit your price range..." Thanks for educating and helping me

p.s. i'm not buying the amp from zeb

yes he is saying that if u bridge it u cant run any other speakers...but have u thought about 2 diff amps? a little low out put one for the fronts and a nice high output for the sub? i think u may like it better if u didnt even amp the fronts and just got a nice amp for the sub

i'm looking at some inifinity kappa speakers that have like 2-100 rms. so i was looking at 75 for them. my explorer currently has the Premium sound system..but can anyone tell me what speakers are in their and how much power they can take? ok so basically i HAVE to get two amps if i'm going to do speakers and a sub. maybe right now i'll just get sub's and leave the speakers. i'm going to get the alpine 9813 and so that should get the speakers a lil extra power but since i don't know which one's they are...don't know about the power. thanks for the help

ok no u dont HAVE to get 2 amps..but say u got a 4 channel amp ay 75x4 at 4ohm....but was 2ohm stable ud want to bridge channel 1-2 and 3-4 to get a 2ohm load with more power...i may be wrong on that but the idea is there lol but if got an amp that was 300x4 at 4ohm u wouldnt need to bridge the channels but u would incinerate the infinities..

the stock speakers are not worth amping from what i have heard u could probably just leave those powered off the HU it will sound ok...u will want to upgrade but u can do that later..most the time ud want to upgrade the HU and speakers b4 the sub but i started with the sub first also

if i got an 800watt mono amp...can i connect two subs that take 400 rms. is that called series, or parralel?
any idea how i would go about doing that?and if they both require four ohms...and the amp is two ohms for 800...i just dont know all the calculaitons

well if its at 2 ohms for 800 then it would be almost cut in half at 4 ohms..and yah i dont know all of it either thats why i just ask expo =) lol

so ur set with an audiobahn sub? ill see what i can find for ya

Okay, what do you want - one sub or 2, if it is one sub then you can use a 4 channel amp and use the rear channel to power a sub. But I'd use 2 different amps - a mono is better for subs, less power draw and cooler, then a 2 channel for the fronts.

Do not buy a sub because someone hear says it is good, find someone in your area that sells it and listen to it, subs that I like you may not. Listen to ported vs. sealed boxes and again decide for yourself.

About wiring - if you have (2) 4 ohm subs you can wire them in parallel to produce a 2 ohm load or wire them in series for a 8 ohm load.

i meant i would looka round for an amp for u because i thought the top link was to an audiobahn sub....i cant find an amp for an invisble sub lol

i dont think u should buy something just because someone says its good..but i do think its good to hear what people think of there current subs or just what they think in general its next to impossible to listin to a sub b4 u buy it because if u listin an an audio place it usally will sound better in there little sound proof rooms then in ur car or it will sound like crap and u will dismiss it for another...so i think taking in info is good

if i hadent listened to expo i wouldnt have the sub i do now i would probably have an infinity because out of all the subs i had heard that sounded the best ( i was wrong lol)

oh i would never buy one based soley on a person's opinion. i just like to get ideas so then i can go and speicifally listen to certian models. my plan is to use two amps. right now i'm just gonna do the subs: get two in a box...good price on ebay. how can 2, 4 ohms produce, 2 ohms? y would it not produce 8? *i reread ur post and saw ur paralle or series part* obviously i don't know all the calculation stuff. if i get an 800 watt x1 mono amp that has 800 watts at 2 ohms, the audiobahn A8000T, it can power two, 4 ohm 400 watt subs like the AW1251T subs? thanks

if u wire 1 duel 4ohm voice coil sub upto an amp the amp sees a 2ohm load the less ...uh ohms? i dont know howto explain that but its like the lower the ohm number the higher the flow the less reistance that means u get more power to the sub easier

i dont know i think im wrong but u wire up 2 400watt subs to an 800watt amp i belive its like each coil getting 200 watts...i dunno on that

u also have to make sure the sub can handel 1ohm and the amp can handel 1 ohm i dont quite understand the audiobahns because they say 3 and 6ohm? i dont know whats going on there lol

if u want a nice setup that work easily outa the box check out those audiobahn deals on ebay they are like 200-250$ 2 subs or 3 and they are already wired for an audiobahn amp the boxs will work fairly well with the subs and they come with grills some with lighted grills... just a thought

any reason why?

there too expensive on the audiobahn equipment for me. the subwoofers im looking at are these, or these . They are the AW1251T 400 Watt RMS Subwoofers. I'm going to find a store and go listen to them soon. If i'm wrong about the A8000T not having enough power please let me know
thanks

as for the amp u may want to look around at other dealers see what u can get for ur money if ur not going comp u dont need to spend alot of money but u do need good stuff so just find a happy median
