well i ordered an aussie locker yesterday

how long do they take to to deliver (i'm in MI) got standard delivery

Do i need to remove the carrier from the D35 housing to install it?

anything else i should know about installing it

On a side note i also bought my first winch

8,000lb Champion winch from Costco for 299.99
came with a mounting plate
roller fairlead

I believe the locker will come from Rochester, New York -- it shouldnt take more than say 3 or 4 days after its out the door.

This depends on the gears you have. If you can remove the spider gears and the cross-pin that holds them in, then you can install the locker with the carrier in the housing. "

Get a caliper 'cauz u have to measure the gap between the two halves of the locker.

yeah, cashed out my 401K....company i worked for went belly up and i'm laid off till the new company comes in, so i cashed out my 401K....wasn't much in it (under a 1K) so i spoiled myself a little

got the aussie installed yesterday............was a PITA

you have to have two measurements be within their spec....

and i had to shave some metal from the carrier to get it into it

the specs were clearance between the large pin in the center of the carrier and the gap between the two halves when engaged

both my specs when installed were pretty much exactly at the min. allowed....so this is gonna be real tight operation

it was difficult beacuser i had to work within the tight tolerances to meet their specs which was difficult to do........

skunk does quite a few lunchbox installs and apperantly he only gets it right when hes drunk. Case in point when he did Spas aussie the new years eve (morning at 1am)

nope sorry no pics.......didn't think of it
